Chennai formerly was known as Madras. It is the largest city in southern India located on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal. Chennai is the fourth largest city of India and the capital of Tamil Nadu. Eventhough its name was officially changed to Chennai , but still the older name is widely used.
